Quality and Affordable Healthcare for All

Pamela believes that access to quality health care is a fundamental human right, and an individual's financial status should never determine it. She is dedicated to championing affordable healthcare for all, recognizing that a healthy population leads to stronger and more prosperous communities. She’ll aim to address the complex challenges faced by our current healthcare system, ensuring that no one is left behind and that everyone has access to the care they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

 

Universal Coverage

The current healthcare paradigm is broken. We need a  system that provides coverage for all individuals, full stop. Every American should be able to access healthcare without the fear of going bankrupt. Pam believes this system needs to cover preventive care, mental health support, and treatment for chronic illnesses.

 

Health Equity

We must collectively acknowledge the existing disparities in health outcomes among different communities, whether racial/ethnicity, socio-economic, or geographical. Pam knows that she alone cannot change our healthcare system, but she can help it change direction with a focus on a health equity approach to policy making decisions. 

 

Strengthening Healthcare Workforce

Pamela knows the critical role that healthcare professionals play in delivering essential, quality care. She will support initiatives to enhance the recruitment, training, and retention of health care providers, from physicians, to nurses, to therapists and everything in between. We must strive to create a supportive and equitable work environment for healthcare professionals, ensuring their well-being and job satisfaction.
